Dead Issuer: No foreseeable hope for new issues. The Sultanate of Qatar and the Sheikdom of Dubai were merged into a monetary union during the 1960s, but with separate governments. In 1971 the Q&D Currency Board split. Qatar has issued its own currency since, and Dubai uses the currency of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
